Engagement sessions are a celebration of this season, a chance to slow down, connect, and document your love before the wedding day arrives. These sessions are relaxed and intentional, designed to feel natural rather than overly posed.


Whether we’re chasing golden light or exploring a location meaningful to you, I’ll guide you with gentle direction while leaving room for real moments to unfold. You’ll walk away with imagery that feels effortless, emotive, and true to your story, perfect for save-the-dates, your wedding website, and beyond. This session is also a wonderful way for us to work together ahead of your wedding day, helping you feel confident, comfortable, and fully present in front of the camera!!

Family Portraits

 

I want your family portrait session to be more than just photos. I want these images to include your laughter, connection & be an heirloom for the season of life you're in. I know all too well that photos can be stressful so I approach every session with patience & an understanding that we sometimes just need to let the kiddos play to get those perfect personalities to shine!


After booking, I will send over an outfit guide & location suggestions to carefully curate the perfect session for you. During your session, I'll gently guide you into natural moments with your littles that bring out those genuine smiles & interactions. Kids are only little once & each moment deserves to be remembered. Let's capture the love you'll always want to treasure!

Maternity Portraits

 

There's no better way to honor motherhood & celebrate the start of your little ones story than with a beautiful maternity session. This is such a sacred season in your story & my goal is to capture the emotion & connection that surround you, your partner & soon to be little one! After booking, you will receive an outfit/prop guide & a curated list of locations based on your vision or vibe. Whether its out in the stunning light of golden hour or in the AC of a studio, I will make sure to document every fleeting detail of this season.


If you decide you would love to be in an indoor studio, please include this in your inquiry as this is an extra charge!

Milestone Portraits

 

The perfect packages for cake smash sessions, six month portraits, or birthday sessions!


The Little Legacy Session ($400 + tax) - for families who want to document a special stage in their little ones first year whether it's sitting up, crawling, walking or turning one. This session will be 1 hr long & include one outfit, family portraits & milestone photos. Can be used for cake smash sessions.


The Year of You Collection ($1300 + tax) - a storytelling experience capturing your baby's journey from bump to one years old. Includes maternity photos, lifestyle newborn photos, 6-month photos & a one year session.

Senior Portraits

 

For the high school senior ready to take on college or the college senior ready to take on adulthood! When I was in college, I remember debating whether I wanted do senior portraits or not & now, I'm so glad I did! They are a celebration of your accomplishments & a treasured memory for the family who enjoys watching you grow up!


Each senior session is 2 hrs long, includes 2-3 outfits & one location of your choice! After booking, I will send you a senior session prep guide that gives you all the tips & tricks to make sure you're prepared for your session! I want the session to fully represent your personality, so we will all discuss potential props & outfit styles that fit who you are!

Why should I hire a professional photographer?

Professional photography is about more than having a good camera, it’s about knowing how to use light, movement, and gentle direction to create images that feel natural and meaningful to you. During your session, you won’t be left wondering what to do or how to stand. You’ll be guided in a way that feels effortless and true to you, while still allowing space for genuine emotion to unfold.

How many images are included in our package?

Portrait sessions include 50–125 images, depending on the number of outfits, session length, and locations. Mini sessions have a predetermined number of images delivered in the final gallery.

Is the retainer refundable?

 

The retainer is non-refundable and is required to secure your session date on my calendar. This payment ensures your booking is prioritized, preventing other opportunities from being accepted for the same date.

 

What is the cancellation or rescheduling policy?

To reschedule your session, please notify Alyssa Denson Photography at least two days in advance. Alternate dates will be provided promptly to accommodate your new schedule. You may cancel your session; however, the non-refundable retainer will not be returned.

What is your turnaround time for gallery delivery?

The turnaround time for portrait sessions including engagements, bridal, senior, and family sessions is 2–3 weeks.

 

Do you backup or secure images for protection?

Alyssa Denson Photography implements a comprehensive backup system to safeguard your images. After each session, your photos are securely copied to two separate hard drives, and all files remain on the original SD card until your gallery is delivered.

 

Can you help with outfit/prop selection?

Absolutely! Before every session, I provide a comprehensive session prep guide with outfit and prop suggestions. I’m also available to review any photos or ideas you’d like to share.

 

Do you have location recommendations?

Absolutely! Before each session, I’ll discuss your desired photography style and suggest locations that align with your vision whether rustic, urban, modern, or elegant. I recommend choosing a setting that reflects your personality and complements your home and lifestyle.
